About
CarWink is a device installed on the rear window of a car. It is connected to the CarWink App via Bluetooth to control and send emoji animations related to current traffic conditions. The purpose is to let drivers convey and express information in a positive way and create a friendly driving environment.

Problem
We are not able to know what other drivers are thinking. That is the reason why road rage happens usually. Sometimes we slow down for some reason, but the back drivers don’t know and get annoying to honk. The misunderstanding caused the conflict between the other drivers.
The Driving Hand Gesture is not apparent
Current hand gestures for driving can’t convey the specific message for a certain problem. Especially the dark window and the reflection of the glass make the hand gesture barely able to see through the window.
Goal
Build up an innovative communication way to convey messages and improve the conflict during driving. As well as create a friendly and polite experience in everyone’s driving journey.
Positioning
The target group of CarWink will be the Y generation, who like new and technology products, animations, and video games. They have the features of financial capacity and are young at heart. Therefore, they care about driving safety and want to interact with others on the road. Moreover, these people are interested in physical tourism, sports, and fleet communities. CarWink will be an excellent partner to the conversation on outings and parades.

Avoid conflict through conveying messages with meaningful emoji animation
To provide appropriate information for reducing road rage and avoiding aggressive driving that cause accidents. Not only to let other drivers know your intention, but also to report the traffic conditions ahead so that everyone can create a mutually friendly driving environment. We provide many traffic related emoji animations in our App. Users can use these official emoji animations by their needs and help them to reduce misunderstanding and prevent conflict.
Let back drivers know the front traffic situations through emoji animations
Hang CarWink on the rear window of the car and display the emoji animation with a certain message to the back drivers. Let them understand the situation ahead or the message the driver wants to convey. Reduce conflicts and do reaction accordingly.
CarWink App is able to send emoji messages by voice control
Place the mobile phone next to the driver's seat. Bluetooth connects to the device that utilizes voice command words to call out the emoji animation and display them on the device.

The animation has three battery power stages with three expressions to show current battery status. It also shows the icon of the current source of solar charging or usb charging.

Say "Hey! CarWink" to awake voice control in voice mode. It shows three sets of random names of emoji animation that will help remind users to speak the words. This function is to ensure that the driver can call out emoji animations instantly without looking at the phone.

The vision of CarWink is to create a mutual communication environment between vehicles and other transportation tools on the road. We hope to collect all transmitting messages from all kinds of transportation tools on the road and report real-time information to upcoming drivers that create an efficient and peaceful traffic network.
